I have been told that a product called Remove-Zit works well http://www.twinpines.com/Catalog.html?VT=hXi_PFV8JPBojIi_aQ2iigqkDb...

REMOVING HAIR
Spray oven cleaner on the figures head and place in a baggie for 6 hours. The clearner softens the glue without damaging any of the paint on the head. It works!

Kevin I just read your post about felt pen marks. I discovered last week that if you put the head into a solution of oxi clean for a moment then this should remove all traces of pen marks with out any scubbing. I had two eagle eye heads that were covered with red ink and this worked a treat. Just be carful about the amount of time.

is it possible to touch up paint on hats if so what type of paint

Well it all depends on what coulor you want and wether you want to mix paints to get the right coulor you disire but i use citidail paints. There water based but if you dont mix to much water to thin them down then they work perfecly for plastics and rubber. Also when it dry's it turns like rubber and it bends without cracking so you dont need to worry about it being able to bend with the rubber when you are putting your hats back on.You can get them from games workshop over the net and there are shops all over the country if you want to go and buy them yourself.Hope this helps lee

removezit is dangerous!!! I trashed a vintage Barbie doll treating it for green ear with removezit. The vinyl can "swell" and go hard and discolour to brown. the best method for ink removal on vinyl is butter!! put a good dollop on the affected area, and leave the head on a sunny windowsill or in front of a strong light, It will take a couple of days but it works really well with no damage to the paint or flocking. After treatment put straight dishwashing liquid on the head and give it a good wash. You will be a,mazed!!
