Evening all!

As a 38 year old, I can hand on heart say I have just rediscovered how brilliant Action Man is.

I recently bought one of the repro blonde's with gripping hands, a 40th Anniversary BoB pilot uniform (isn't he cool?)..

and it's now whet my appetite to try and build a little collection again!

Anyway, so I'm new to the forum, and just wanted to say hello.

Along with my hobby of building scale model aircraft, I guess I now have to add Action Man to the guilty pleasures list!

Cheers,

Nick

Hello Nick,

I am a great fan of the 40th too and it is through the 40th that I got (back) into the hobby again around eighteen months ago.
Here are a couple of RAF guys that I bashed using a mix of VAM and 40th.
I do have the helmet and goggles but left them out of the picture and the scarf on the EE guy was made by the very talented Lui66, whom some of you may know.

Look forward to seeing your collection grow.
Cheers
Chris

Cheers guys.

I've just bought the 40th Household Cavalry (with the chest plate) and long range desert fighter cards from Modellers Loft, and I got a vintage Para uniform (with cloth cap and puttees) off e-bay. That looks cool.

Looking forward to going back to my folks house in the New Year to raid the attic to see what's still there of my old Action Men toys. Hopefully my two little brothers who I passed them onto didn't beat them up (or draw on them!) too much. Kind of hoping they'll all be in good nick!

Will keep you posted!

Nick

Hi all
It appears that the most sought after set at the moment is an empty 40th box, a 40th basic soldier's uniform and some 40th paperwork:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Action-Man-40th-EE-Soldier-Box-Clothing-Paper...

Another example of Ebay gone mad? Or a misleading listing? (Although he does state quite clearly, much lower down the listing, that no figures or DAK sets are included in the auction).

Hope you've all had a good weekend

Cheers

Steve
